Q&A with Author and Teacher David Benoit
Q: Why did you decide to create your website about the Book of Revelation?
A: I wanted to explain a complex book in a simple form that the average Christian could understand, and to produce teaching materials for pastors, Bible teachers, missionaries, and laypeople who need ready-to-teach content. Most pastors do not have the time it takes to prepare visual aids for teaching this complex book, so I have produced over 2000 PowerPoint slides to assist them. Biblical prophecy can be a powerful tool to reach people who are seeking spiritual enlightenment. Instead, they are often lured into the occult, astrology, or other forms of heretical teachings. I believe we are living in the final moments of human history, and I felt a need to not only reach people myself but also provide resources for others to do the same. Last month, people from Australia, the UK, and South Africa downloaded my material, demonstrating the global reach and impact of this initiative.
Q: When did you start studying and teaching the book of Revelation?
A: I started teaching the book of revelation to my Sunday school class over two years ago. I teach the class that the late Pastor Jerry Falwell started over 60 years ago. I have spent thousands of hours preparing over 2000 and 52 short videos for small groups, covering the entire book of Revelation. The best part about the website is that it is totally free for anyone to download. For many years, I have been involved in speaking at conferences for ministries like Southwest Radio Ministries. Because many of the great prophetic teachers and friends who influenced me like Dr. Noah Hutchings, Dr. Ed Hindson, and Jimmy DeYoung are now in heaven, I felt an obligation to take up the mantle.
Q: You discuss all the different interpretations of Revelation, but you hold the Pre-Tribulation view. Why?
A: There are five specific reasons I still believe in the Pre-tribulation view:
A: Topics like hell, sin, and the wrath of God are not well received by today’s pagan culture. Our churches today have become more socially motivated by the love of God and not the coming judgement of God. The Book of Revelation is about the wrath of God, and the preparation of His people to meet Him. Many evangelicals are moving toward a mid-tribulation or post-tribulation view because they do not understand the difference between tribulation and persecution. They see Christians being persecuted and believe that persecution is a part of the tribulation period. To be clear, persecution is when man unleashes his wrath on man, and we have always had that. Tribulation is when God unleashes His wrath on man. The seven years mentioned in The Book Revelation is the tribulation period, not the persecution period. Too many preachers have set dates for the rapture of the church, and those dates have come and gone. Because of these incorrect predictions, pastors today want to distance themselves from that topic for fear of being called extremist.
Q: What current events are lining up with prophecies in the book of Revelation?
A: Every Sunday, I open my class with a commentary on current events and how they align with the Bible. I call it: “God’s News Beyond the News.” Here are a few worth noting:

Q: You discuss all the different interpretations of Revelation, but you hold the Pre-Tribulation view. Why?
A: There are five specific reasons I still believe in the Pre-tribulation view:
- The church is not mentioned after Revelation Chapter 3 until Revelation 22.
In Revelation 4:1, John hears a trumpet, and a voice says come up hither. Those who agree with the Pre-Tribulation view believe that moment is when the church is called up into heaven. - Because the Holy Spirit is removed before the tribulation period begins.
John 14:16 says: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;” The Holy Spirit and the believer can not be separated. If the Holy Spirit is taken out, the believer must also be taken out as well. - God never changes.
God has always made provisions for His people before He released His Judgments. There are many examples of this including Noah and Lot. God even prepared a place for the protection of His people called Goshen in Egypt during the plagues of Egypt. - The protection of His Bride.
Why would God seal only 144,000 Jews to protect them from His wrath, and not make provisions for his own Bride? The answer is easy, His Bride is already in heaven. - The Bible tells us there is a crown for those who are watching for His coming.
As a person who believes in the Pre-tribulation view, I believe in the imminent return of Christ. Those who believe that it has already happened (The Preterist view) are not looking forward to His coming. Those who believe that we will go through the tribulation period are not looking for His imminent return. Matthew 24: 44 says “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Q: What current events are lining up with prophecies in the book of Revelation?
A: Every Sunday, I open my class with a commentary on current events and how they align with the Bible. I call it: “God’s News Beyond the News.” Here are a few worth noting:
- The world is moving towards a digital currency. China already has a digital currency. We have been watching the transformation of physical currency to digital in real time. The Bible says that no man can buy or sell unless they take the Mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:17). There will be a cashless society for all transactions.
- The ashes of the Red Heifer. The red heifer is talked about in Numbers chapter 19. The Jews believe that when the 10th red heifer is found and sacrificed their Messiah will appear. The reason the third temple has not been built yet is because without the ashes of red heifer, the priest cannot offer the sacrifice. In 2022, five red heifers were donated to Israel by an evangelical farmer from Texas and flown in as "pets" to avoid restrictions on importing live animals. So far, there have been nine red heifers throughout Isael’s history.
- The Bible predicts that there will be an end time battle found in Ezekiel 38-39 right before the rapture. It is referred to as the Battle of Gog and Magog. The country that will be leading that war is Russia. It should not noted that Russia was not even a country when this prophecy was made. I have taken the names of the countries that will be aligned with Russia according to scripture and shown recent news articles where President Putin has met with these same countries to build an alliance against Israel just as the Bible predicted.
- The Bible says that the antichrist will make war with the saints without any retribution. Every six minutes a Christian is being put to death and nearly 1 million Christians have been killed in the last ten years, yet you hear nothing about it in the news. The war against the saints has already begun.
- No more borders. Globally, borders have been coming down for quite a while. We are moving towards a borderless world where we all become global citizens. Why is this happening? To have a global leader—The Antichrist—you cannot have borders. The Covid pandemic proved that the world could be controlled from a central location. Borders were no problem for the World Health Organization. All nations including America, Russia, and China will all surrender their sovereignty created by borders to this coming leader.
