Online Vacation Bible School event, featuring performers and entertainers from around the world, offers free registration to churches of all denominations
New Dimensions Evangelism and Faith Kidz Ministries have announced a four-day Virtual Bible Spectacular Event (www.wowvbs.live) during the last two weeks of June. The WOW VBS live stream broadcast event will feature a variety of children’s ministry hosts, guest artists, and celebrity cameos from around the world. Each 30 to 40 minute program will include worship, Bible stories and teaching, magic, games, and a presentation of the Gospel message. New Dimensions president and long-time family entertainer/evangelist, Scott Humston, says these events will be free of charge for churches to host and share with their children’s ministries, and with churches from 17 different countries already registered, they are anticipating this may be the “largest online Vacation Bible School event ever created.”
“WOW can be used by churches of all denominations, even if they already have virtual Vacation Bible School plans,” says Humston. “WOW is flexible enough to be combined with Zoom parties, crafts and game activities or any other programs churches want to offer to their families.”
Steve Pennington, director of Faith Kidz, says the events will also help the participating entertainers who have been hurt financially due to tour and event cancellations.
“These kids ministry performers have lent their time and talent to make these shows fun, engaging, and highly entertaining,” says Pennington. “Though the events are completely free to everyone, we are accepting donations that will help cover the production costs as well as pay these incredible ministry leaders. We hope to also raise funds and awareness for our sponsoring partners World Vision, Because International, New Missions, Sunday Cool, and All-Star Kids Club.”
The WOW VBS events will feature eleven magicians, comedians, bands, singers, teachers and children’s ministry leaders from New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Australia to name a few. Churches can join the live stream events in a variety of ways, and Humston says churches who register online will receive free materials and instructions to share with their congregations.
“We are hoping to get 10,000 churches to join the WOW live streams,” says Humston. “Our goal is to have one million kids be part of this incredible, first-time event. In a scary, uncertain time when our children need some laughter and fun in their lives, we are also mindful that our kids also need to hear the Good News that can change their lives forever. That’s what WOW is all about.”
WOW VBS will stream live June 22-25 with repeat streaming June 29-July 2. Churches, families, and individuals can register at http://www.wowvbs.live.
